Calling all singers, actors and learners! I’m thrilled to report that The SAVI Singing Actor will be available in the summer of 2019, along with the “SAVI Cards” featured in many of the exercises in the book.
The SAVI System of Singer-Actor Training is the performance pedagogy that I’ve developed over the course of 40+ years of work in academia and professional musical theater. My new book brings together the powerful concepts and exercises of the SAVI System, designed to help you take your musical theater performance skills to the next level!
I used a version of The SAVI Singing Actor as my text in a pilot class in the fall of 2018, and the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Now, I’m hard at work updating the manuscript to reflect the many insights I gained from working with that intrepid group of “beta testers.”
Most recently, I gave a presentation on “SAVI Cards – The Singing Actor’s New Secret Weapon” at the annual conference of the Musical Theater Educators’ Alliance held at New York University in January 2019.
